Snowy March

Blogging has taken a backseat this week to many things... mostly to our Ladies' Day Banquet which I will give a full report on soon. But, secondly, blogging has come to a halt because of winter's last battle with spring here in our region. And, as you can see by the pictures in this post, "winter" won.

Our home has been full of guests this week, and, of all times, we lost our electricity for nearly two whole days. However, we are getting more and more comfortable and prepared for such events out here in the village. This time we were prepared with our wood-burning stove and generator. Even though we felt the inconvenience of no electricity, we were able to get through it with flying colors. And, believe me... there was NO complaining from the two little guys in my home who had two school-free days!

David took these pictures yesterday (from the comforts of his warm car), on the road that leads out to our village:

And, in the city, these kids are enjoying a free ride:

  2. You guys have more snow than us...though you might have sent it up our way because it just started snowing today. Guess I need to pull back out the winter coat. :( Thank you SO much for opening up your house to us. We loved being there.

  3. Aren't you ready for the snow to go away??? It is snowing here again. We have snow everywhere! Yesterday when we went to the store there was a huge pile of snow at least 10 ft. high. Even when we do get more spring weather, it is going to take a long time for all our snow to melt. I enjoy the snow, but I always look forward to the warmer weather. Stay warm, my friend.

  4. I just saw your Love from Ukraine, and won't complain about our unusually late-cold weather here, after seeing the mountains of snow along your roads.

I pray every morning, and every night that your electricity won't go off. So I guess the Lord had a purpose for your having to go without it.

I love you, and am so proud of you.
