I just wanted to let everyone know that we are HOME..
HOME SWEET HOME
{in Ukraine, of course}
Sleeping on my own pillow in my own bed feels oh, so good. I have been unpacking and lovingly putting all of our belongings back into their own little homes. In the next few days I will be revamping our entire closets since all of the clothes we have out are winter clothes. It was quite the sight to come home to boots lined up at the door, scarves and hats left in the car, and sweaters in our drawers. Yet, we are running around the house barefoot, enjoying the cool tile on our feet.
By the way, who needs to buy new toys, books, movies, games, etc... for the kids when you can just leave your home and return in a few months? It has been like Christmas around here since everything seems new all over again! Micah (16 months) completely forgot this home, his bed, and his toys. The Johnny Jump-up that we left hanging will be coming down, the infant/baby car seat will be put into storage, and I will be giving away all of his clothes that were left in his drawers. Micah left Ukraine a baby and has returned a boy. {Yes, they can do that in just three short months.}
We look forward to jumping back into the ministry here. It is going to be a busy summer, but that is exactly what we love.
Now, to tackle that exploding inbox of mine...
Welcome home Jolene!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the sleeping in your own bed part -- that's when you really feel at home. But -- I loved visiting Israel with you. Thanks for taking us along.
