If you've never lived on the mission field, let me tell you... little things like this can be a big deal! Until now, we've only had one other choice for those like me who prefer diet: Diet Coke. So after 7 1/2 years of a little weekly splurge on date night, I now have a choice!
Doesn't it look so refreshingly cold and satisfying?! Mmmm... life is good!
Yes, it does look really refreshing, Jolene :) Have fun with this new blessing :) Love you!
ReplyDeleteYes! I remember when I was in Desert Storm ... no packages for 3 months ... exchange always out of what I needed and wanted. It was sooooooo nice to get a package from home with some toe-nail clippers and Country-Time leomonade mix! Marvelous day! Happy for you!
ReplyDeleteFunny that you just got that there. We had it in SIBERIA! We have it here too. Makes me wonder what makes them sell what they do.? We can get Dr. Pepper here too, but it is very expensive - so we don't buy it. Actually, all soda is about twice as much here as in the states. We treat ourselves to a bottle about one a week (when we drive to Tallinn). Glad you have your refreshing drink for special times!
ReplyDeleteI can only HOPE for the day when we get Diet Dr. Pepper! I guess then, this would no longer count as the mission field though! :)
ReplyDeleteJolene, I'm thankful you are able to get Diet Pepsis. You don't realize how blessed we are, until you see what other missionaries rejoice over.
